This license verification service is for the public or other agencies to verify the license of a North Carolina licensed dietitian or nutritionist. Results will include past or present licensees of all statuses. This information is considered primary source, is updated in real-time, and is free of charge.

Discipline: If discipline is noted in a result, there will also be a link to related documents. You may pull a list of all discipline by selecting a license type, and just choosing “Yes” in the discipline drop down in the search parameters.

Status Key:

• Active – Current active license
• Inactive – License voluntarily inactive; cannot provide MNT in NC nor use protected titles.
• Relinquished – License voluntarily given up; cannot provide MNT in NC nor use protected titles.
• Lapsed – Licensee did not inform Board of their status; cannot provide MNT in NC nor use protected titles.
• Provisional – Licensee has completed academic and supervised practice requirements but has not passed credentialing exam. Only valid for 12 months from issuance.
• Revoked – The Board has taken action on a licensee; cannot provide MNT in NC nor use protected titles.
