If you previously submitted a request to go “Inactive” and wish to “Reactivate” your license, you must submit a Reactivation application by logging in to the NCBDN Gateway, clicking on your Inactive license icon, and then selecting “Reactivate” under your “Options.”
Reactivation = $95; no fingerprinted background check required. Typically takes 3-5 business days or less to process.
If you previously “Relinquished” your license, and wish to “Reinstate” your license, you must submit a Reinstatement application by logging in to the NCBDN Gateway, clicking on your Relinquished license icon, and then selecting “Reinstate” under your “Options.”
Reinstatement = $248; fingerprinted background check required. Timing dependent on applicant submission requirements and NCSBI background check processing timing. A reinstatement application process is very similar to a new applicant process. For reference on the general process, please visit our page on General Information for Applicants.
If your status is “Lapsed” you will follow the instructions to “Reinstate” your license, as noted above. As a lapsed licensee you may be subject to additional procedures upon reinstating.
